Youth Action From the beginning “Clean river, better enviroment, good irrigation”

 

   

Environment is the main problem that can impacted agriculture. Everything in agriculture needs environment to survive and make some improvisation with it. All people and resources in the world rely on environment for their survival, and this is a fact that no one can hide it. Environment make agriculture live until this time, and agriculture make us alive too. So, they are like a food chain that needs each other.

Farm needs water for planting and water for farming is derived from the irrigation that farmers make it from a start they make a land for planting. A good farm must have a good irrigation. The water resource for irrigation is depend on river that drain the water from the mountain (top) and water supply from the top is depend on the good environment in that area. So, a good environment can make a good irrigation and a good irrigation make a better agriculture that’s mean a better life for human survival.

In a fact, the main problem in Indonesia is farmer doesn’t have a good irrigation for their field. Moreover, they didn’t had a water for their plant. So, this is the problem that impacted their productivity. This is caused by a bad river channel because the obstruction in a river upstream/downstream. The problem has a differences in any case. It can caused by illegal logging that means no water suply for underground water and river. So, the rivers dry up and never give a water suply for farmer’s irrigation and they can’t do the plantation. In the other case, it’s caused by indiscriminate disposal waste in the river that make’s the flow stopped to the downstream. So, it’s decreased water suply for farmer’s irrigation and they don’t have an enough water for watering their plant.

Many people in a old age is too busy for thinking/knows about this problem and the government look’s like blinded to control it. Therefore, this is the task for youth generation to solve this problem for a better life. There are many ways to solve it and this our task to think a ways to solve this problem. Actually, we have a different ways to solve this problem, but it’s still at a same purpose. We can solve this by media, activity or charity program that can make impact for clean river, better environment and good irrigation too.

 Media is a key for publish this problem and make all people open their eyes with this condition. So, they can know about this fact and maybe can participate to solve this together. Therefore, youth generation is a right target to do this with the activities in campus, school or organization that have a media to publish this and make a solution together with it.

Youth generation is a people who always make an activity that useful for many people and they can make one activity like a cleaning the river from the rubbish and tracing the river to make sure it’s clean from the rubbish. If the river is clean and there are no rubbish, water can flow smoothly and farmers can use it for their irrigation and watering their plant. So, there are no reason for a water lack.

Charity program can be the program that help farmers when summer come and water lack can not be avoided. It’s can help them with the all things that we collect it from all people for help farmers to continue their planting. So, we still can consume their product in summer and farmers doesn’t have water lack problem for their plant.
 
Prevention, restore and countermeasures is the main key to solve this problem if it’s happen one day or today. Youth generation is the main actor to do this and they must do it from the beginning, not wait until the problem comes to us. Not only talking in a discussion, but do it in action. Clean river, better environment and good irrigation is the case that interrelated each other. So, if we have been done one case, we can complete the other case because it’s interrelated each other. Youth is not the person who still sit down and quiet when the problem comes, they’re a person who give a real action for environment, humanity and world.
